With a lot of free time on our hands recently, many have resorted to trying out new hobbies. Going on TikTok to stay updated on the latest food and drink recipes has been my favorite way to pass time, and this whipped coffee recipe has taken the app by storm.
Whipped coffee not only tastes great and looks aesthetically pleasing, but preparing it also gives you a nice arm workout. You can use any instant coffee, type of sugar or milk / milk substitute you’d like. Do not be fooled by the ratio of coffee to milk — this recipe will keep you alert and ready to take on your day.
2 tablespoons instant coffee
2 tablespoons white granulated sugar
2 tablespoons boiling water
Whole milk (as much as needed)
Also can add coffee creamer for a sweeter taste (optional)
In a small mixing bowl, combine instant coffee, sugar, and boiling water. Whisk (or use a hand mixer for faster and easier results) and mix constantly for 5-10 minutes until the color becomes a lighter brown and there are stiff peaks in the mixture.
Pour ice, milk, and coffee creamer (if desired) into a glass and then add the whipped coffee creation to the top.
Mix together and enjoy!
