The College's outdoor track and field teams participated in the Sam Howell Invitational on Friday and Saturday at Princeton University and had several stellar performances. Coach Steve Dolan was pleased with the teams' performances despite the inclement weather.
The College's softball team recorded its eighth straight victory by sweeping Rutgers University-Newark on Saturday in its first New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) games of the season. The Lions, playing through rainy weather, defeated the Scarlet Raiders 7-2 in the first game and 16-0 in the second.
The Lion's women's lacrosse team won their home opener on Saturday by defeating SUNY Cortland 19-4. The Lions are ranked third in Division III. Head coach Sharon Pfluger was pleased with the Lions (2-0) performance. "If I had to say one thing about today, it would be that we played well together," Pfluger said.
The Lion's Women's lacrosse team defeated Salisbury University, by a score of 13-10, on Saturday, in their season opener. The Lions (1-0) was led by senior Liz O'Connor, who scored four goals, and senior Tara Prindible, who scored three goals and had an assist.
