The College’s football team earned its first victory of the season on Oct. 5, when it traveled to Wayne, New Jersey, and defeated William Paterson University by a score of 17-14. With the win, the team improved to 1-3 on the year and 1-0 in the conference.
For their 2019 season opener, the Lions traveled to Allentown, Pennsylvania, to face the No. 8 team in the nation, Muhlenberg College, but were handily defeated by a score of 45-26.
As the first week of classes comes to an end and the football season is right around the corner, head coach Casey Goff’s Lions looked to work off the rust of an arduous offseason as they traveled to North Jersey on Saturday, Aug. 31 to scrimmage Salve Regina University.
The football team lost to Rowan University in a heartbreaker 17-14 on Oct. 13, dropping its record to 0-5. This past weekend, however, the Lions pulled together a win against Kean University, 13-8, earning their first win of the year.
