Mental Health Services helps students virtually, continues to provide support

As the result of an online semester, Mental Health Services (MHS) at the College has adapted to supporting students remotely. The College reiterates their commitment to protecting the health and safety of its students, including their mental health. New programs are being offered to students, including racial trauma and coping with Covid-19 support groups, despite the services continuing to remain fully remote.

Students should try to make the best of every situation, including an online semester

Zoom meeting after Zoom meeting has become the story of my life. And I’m over it. This semester has been challenging in ways I never thought were possible. Like most students, it’s not how I pictured my college experience. But it is what it is, and it’s important to make the best of it — even if that seems impossible.

SG welcomes back students in first meeting online

Student Government held their first meeting of the semester on Sept. 2 via Zoom, where they welcomed back their general body and introduced their newly-elected officers and class presidents.

In a time of grave uncertainty, academia knows one thing for sure: the College’s class of 2020 deserves a celebration. Pomp, circumstance and champagne were all in order for these historic graduates –– even if it had to be through a screen.

Facebook ‘friend’ intimidates student

On March 6, at approximately 7:10 a.m., a male student arrived at Campus Police Headquarters to report an attempt of extortion. He told Campus Police that he received a Facebook friend request on March 5 from an account with the name of a female individual who he did not recognize.
