Both the men’s and women’s tennis teams took to the court for their season-opening matches on Saturday, Aug. 31 for the Doubles Kickoff Tournament against both Southern Virginia University and The University of the Sciences, which the College hosted.
To end their season, both the men’s and women’s tennis teams were able to take down their final opponents and gain a playoff spot. On Wednesday, April 24 the men’s team took on Stevens Institute of Technology followed by a weekend match on Saturday, April 27 as they went up against SUNY Oneonta at home.
The track team hosted the annual Lions Invitational this past weekend while some team members were able to attend the Penn Relays, a high honor for a track and field team.
Taking to the road this past week, the College’s lacrosse team was successful against both Rutgers University-Camden on Tuesday, April 9 and Salisbury University on Saturday, April 13.
It was a busy week for the Lions as the men took on both Rutgers University-Newark and Camden in a doubleheader on April 10, the University of Rochester on Saturday, April 13 and Goucher College on Sunday, April 14.
On Saturday, April 6 the lacrosse team managed to snap its three-game losing streak with a New Jersey Athletic Conference win against Montclair State University.
Following a slow start to the season, the Lions seem to be hitting their mid-season form as the group finds itself in the midst of a nine-game winning streak dating back to March 22.
