A single microphone was placed atop the steps leading to Green Hall’s main entrance, with a buzzing crowd of campus community members below waiting to speak and listen. The building’s long hallways extending past the central clock tower were reminiscent of outstretched arms in a supportive embrace as the upbeat background music was lowered, and several speakers prepared to discuss their personal interpretation of the phrase, “When they go low, we go high.”
In the aftermath of the student counter-protest against the presence of conservative religious group Bible Believers in Alumni Grove on Thursday, April 12, the College held the “Critical Conversations: Spring Edition” forum in the Education Building Room 115 to allow students to discuss their concerns about the day’s events.
Interim Vice President of Student Affairs Angela Chong visited Student Government on Feb. 28 to speak about the College’s resources and the Division of Student Affairs’ five-year strategic plan.
