Before the wrestling team began its 2018 season, the team competed in a public event preseason match against each other in the Blue/Gold Intersquad on Oct. 26 to determine the team’s starting wrestlers.
The men and women’s swimming and diving teams opened their seasons with a New Jersey Athletic Conference matchup against Montclair State University on Saturday, Oct. 26 at home in Packer Hall.
In an emotional final game of the season, the Lions took down New Jersey Athletic Conference opponent Rowan University 1-0 in Lion’s Stadium on Oct. 24.
The men’s soccer team holds an overall record of 9-6-2 as a result of a tie against Stockton University, two wins over New Jersey City University and Brooklyn College and defeats by Stevens Institute of Technology and Montclair State University.
The football team lost to Rowan University in a heartbreaker 17-14 on Oct. 13, dropping its record to 0-5. This past weekend, however, the Lions pulled together a win against Kean University, 13-8, earning their first win of the year.
Following a pair of solid performances on Sept. 29 at the Paul Short Invitational, the men and women’s cross country squads returned to the track in Newark, New Jersey to run in the NJIT Highlander Invitational.
