At their weekly meeting on April 21, Student Government (SG) voted to recognize four organizations and heard reports from students on committees to initiate the conclusion of the academic year. The Student Finance Board (SFB) met on the same day and gave an update on their elections.

The Student Finance Board met on March 4 at 12:30 p.m.in room 104 of the Brower Student Center to discuss special appropriation requests from the Trentones, the Black Student Union, TCNJ Treblemakers and the Alpha Chi Rho fraternity.

Delta Sigma Theta was funded $3,950 for a speaker for its event titled, “I Never Thought About it Like That.” The speaker, Rasheed Ali Cromwell, is an attorney and Greek life expert. The event will be held on March 27 in the Decker Social Space from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.

SFB funds club trips, musical production

The Student Finance Board fully funded four events, partially funded two more and withheld funding for another at its meeting on Feb. 13. The TCNJ Italian Club and the French Club proposed funds for their respective field trips. The Italian Club is planning to visit Eataly, an Italian marketplace, in New York City and the French Club hopes to make a trip to the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

SFB funds Chabad, UGC, semester retreats

The Student Finance Board funded its base budget and spring training retreats and three student organizations at its first meeting of the semester on Jan. 30.
