Stars strutted the red carpet on Feb. 26 at the annual Academy Awards. If you missed it, no need to panic — I will catch you up on the fashion you missed. On the red carpet, celebrities showed off their fashion choices, posed for photos and talked to reporters. The first question every reporter asks: “Who are you wearing?”
Every season, a number of new trends emerge. Some trends die out quickly, but others stick around and transform into must-have items. Recently, I have noticed a number of fashion items that have transformed into closet necessities. I recommend the following items because it seems these trends are here to stay.
In the midst of Mother Nature torturing us with her freezing temperatures, it seems that she may finally give us a break. This week, we will see weather in the upper 50s and lower 60s. Personally, I couldn’t be more excited.
JG: Where do you shop? BR: I mostly shop at Express. Their jeans are super comfortable, and their tops are so cute. But I also shop at Nordstrom Rack, American Eagle and I always find cute clothes at Marshalls.
Whether it’s for an in-class presentation or an event hosted by the Career Center, even non-business students will have to put their sweatpants and sneakers away at some point during their college career. Regardless of whether you choose to dress business casual or strictly business attire, I recommend that you stock your closet with a few professional outfits.
Winter break provides students and faculty enough time to shop and update their closet before returning to campus. The best part of the holiday season is sales, starting with Black Friday and ending with the day after Christmas sales. I definitely took advantage of these, and I could tell my peers did, as well.
