So you like pie, but you’re looking for something more than the fruit that comes with them. Trust me, you’re not alone. While people enjoy a slice of pie now and then, many would rather enjoy the flavors of a traditional cake instead. Nobody says you can’t have both!
In giving professors the option to implement the use of lockdown browsers, shifting to accommodate open-note testing and asking students to take exams while on Zoom, the College community has experienced drastic change.
“We have put our hearts into our work and putting these shows together,” Gilston said. “What I love about the community of artists I’ve found at TCNJ is that we honor our differences, and we’re able to come together to collaborate on our work. We’re like a family.”
As a result of the projected plan to open campus in the spring, the College community is adjusting their academic and social plans for next semester. In an effort to limit the potential cases of Covid-19, the College has replaced “the weeklong spring break with two single days off during the semester, Thursday, March 18 and Tuesday, March 30,” according to College President Kathryn Foster’s campus-wide email.

In an already stressful year, the presidential election has brought even more anxiety. Alongside the Covid-19 pandemic, racial strife and uncertainty in returning to the classroom, the stakes seem high. No matter the determined future, know that there are some resources and events happening at the College to help cope during this difficult time.
Separated by their educational school, no more than 125 students stood all around the turf of Lions Stadium on Oct. 9th, 10th, 11th, 14th, 17th, and 18th. Each of them carried the College’s patterned bags full of decorated masks, hand sanitizers and a labeled “Lions” thermometer. Everyone wears green bracelets signaling a completed and good health pass. The reason for the occasion: “Spend a Day at TCNJ.”
In the days and weeks leading up to what has become one of the most contentious presidential races in modern American history, a wide variety of different polls showed, both nationally and at the state levels, Joe Biden with a tangible lead over the incumbent President Trump. Even after pollsters accounted for the potential errors that lead to their miscalculation in 2016, many Democrats were under the impression that Nov. 3 could very well have marked a historic, landslide victory for Biden. As the last 24 hours have shown us, this optimistic hope was not the case.

As our fall semester is drawing to an end, students from the College are struggling to maintain both their grades and their mental health. Remote learning is not for everybody. If students initially wanted to complete courses online, they wouldn’t have attended the College at all.
The influence of “celebrities,” whether they are musicians or actors, has been compounded by the constantly growing prevalence of social media. And that influence has become as contentious as the environment in America at this moment — an environment where many people seem to be split along political lines.
For many college students, granola bars, yogurt bars and protein bars make up a large portion of the weekly diet. The quick-to-grab, easy-to-travel-with items are a staple for students on the go.
The Aces held a virtual concert for students at the College, hosted by CUB, on Oct. 21. The Aces are an indie-pop band from Polva, Utah, composed of members Katie Henderson, McKenna Petty, Alisa Ramirez and Cristal Ramirez. They released their album “Under My Influence” this July, and they plan to tour for the album next spring.
I must confess I am obsessed with music. The earliest memories that I have are connected to dancing with my mom to any and every genre imaginable. It did not matter what kind of music it was, as long as I could dance to it. Sometimes I could even convince my Mom to take out her old flute and play the songs she had memorized from her marching band days.
